Connect Lupora to Claude, ChatGPT or another AI assistant you use. It can read your plan, your schedule and your progress, and suggest changes that wait in Lupora until you accept them on your phone.
Use Lupora in ChatGPT
Lupora is in ChatGPT's apps library. Add it in either of two ways:
- Choose Add Lupora to ChatGPT above. Lupora's page opens in ChatGPT: use its button to add Lupora.
- Or, in ChatGPT, open the apps library, search for "Lupora", select it and connect.
Then sign in on Lupora's connection screen with the Lupora account you use on your iPhone, check the permissions you want to give and choose Allow. Ask ChatGPT about your training from there.
Before you start
- A Lupora account. Create it in the Lupora iPhone app. When you connect, you sign in with the same method you use in the app.
- The connector address:
https://mcp.lupora.com/mcp
Connecting is optional, and you can disconnect at any time. Lupora never sends an assistant your health signals, check-ins, photos or body weight (see What never leaves Lupora).
Connect Claude
- In Claude, open Settings → Connectors. Find Lupora in the connector directory, or choose Add custom connector and enter
https://mcp.lupora.com/mcp. Which connector options you see depends on your Claude plan. - Choose Connect. Lupora's connection screen opens at
connect.lupora.com. - Sign in, check the permissions you want to give (next section), and choose Allow.
- Back in Claude, ask about your training. Lupora's tools are used when a question needs them.
A connection made on the web also works in the Claude desktop and mobile apps.
Claude Code: run claude mcp add --transport http lupora https://mcp.lupora.com/mcp, then /mcp inside Claude Code to sign in.
Other assistants
Other assistants that let you add a custom connector can use the same address. Lupora's connection screen always shows the web address of the assistant asking to connect, and marks assistants Lupora has not verified as unverified. Continue only if you started the connection from an assistant you trust.
What you choose when you connect
Every connection can see your synced schedule: planned workouts and whether each one was started or completed, their exercises, sets, reps and loads, workout titles and exercise names (including ones you typed), and your program settings. Everything else needs a box you check. Every box starts unchecked.
| On the connection screen | What it allows |
|---|---|
| Also share my training log | The sets and exercises you completed, with reps, loads, effort ratings and completion times, and the totals calculated from them. |
| Also share my training goal, experience level and favorite exercises | Your goal, your experience level and the exercises you marked as favorites. |
| Let it suggest plan changes | Send Lupora suggested workouts and plans. Each suggestion waits in Lupora until you accept or discard it on your phone. |
| Let it send feedback reports about Lupora | Send the Lupora team a report, such as a bug it runs into. See Feedback reports. |
To change what an assistant can do, disconnect it and connect again with different boxes checked.
What the assistant can do
| Tool | What it does | Needs |
|---|---|---|
| Schedule window | Lists your workouts over up to 31 days. | Every connection |
| Workout detail | One workout with its exercises and prescriptions, and the sets you logged. | Every connection; logged sets need the training log |
| Program settings | Your program: training days, session length, equipment, cardio. | Every connection |
| Exercise catalog search | Searches Lupora's exercise catalog, with instructions and form cues. | Every connection |
| Connection profile | What this connection was granted and when. | Every connection |
| Progress summary | Planned versus completed workouts, volume and your most-trained exercises over up to a year. | Training log |
| Training profile | Your goal and experience level. | Goal and favorites |
| Favorite exercises | The exercises you marked as favorites. | Goal and favorites |
| Validate plan draft | Checks a draft plan against Lupora's rules without saving anything. | Suggestions |
| Propose a plan | Sends a plan to Lupora as a suggestion. | Suggestions |
| Propose a workout change | Suggests editing, moving or removing one planned workout. | Suggestions |
| List proposals, Proposal detail | Shows the suggestions this assistant sent and where each one stands. | Suggestions |
| Withdraw a proposal | Takes back a pending suggestion this assistant sent. It never changes a workout. | Suggestions |
| Send a feedback report | Sends the Lupora team a text report. | Feedback reports |
Suggestions you approve
A suggestion never changes your schedule on its own. It appears in the Lupora app, where you can review it and accept or discard it. A suggestion you don't act on expires after 7 days, and the assistant can withdraw one it sent while it is still pending. The assistant sees only the suggestions it sent itself.
Feedback reports
If you check "Let it send feedback reports about Lupora", the assistant can send the Lupora team a report, such as a bug it runs into or a feature you'd like. The report is text the assistant writes: the kind of report, a description and, optionally, what you expected. It has no screenshots and no diagnostic data. Lupora adds only the assistant's name and a request identifier.
There is no review step on your phone, so a report goes as the assistant wrote it. Whether the assistant asks you first depends on the assistant and its settings. Lupora refuses a report that contains an email address or a credential. Reports from assistants count toward the same hourly and daily limits as reports you send from the app, and they are handled like those reports: encrypted at rest and tracked as an issue in Lupora's private GitHub repository. The assistant gets back the report's reference, never your other reports.
What never leaves Lupora
No connection ever receives your Apple Health signals, your readiness, your check-ins (feelings, cycle phase, notes, photos or the insights drawn from them), your body weight or height, your birthday, gender or profile photo, your name or email, your other feedback reports, the Trainer's written explanations, or the health measurements recorded with a workout, such as heart rate.
The assistant knows you only by a connection identifier unique to that assistant. Requests from an assistant never use Lupora's own AI.
Disconnect
In the Lupora app, open Settings → Connected assistants to see every assistant you have connected and disconnect one or all of them. A disconnected assistant loses access immediately, and its pending suggestions can no longer be accepted. A connection also ends on its own 30 days after you set it up; the assistant then asks you to connect again.
Disconnecting does not take back what the assistant already received, suggestions you already accepted, or feedback reports it already sent. What happens to data the assistant received is governed by its provider's terms and privacy policy.
Troubleshooting
- The assistant says it can't see your progress or goal. That needs a box you didn't check. Disconnect in your assistant, connect again and check it.
- The assistant asks you to connect again. The connection reached its 30 days, or you disconnected it in the Lupora app. Connect again.
- Sign-in on the connection screen fails. Sign in with the method you use in the Lupora app. If you signed up with Google and the screen offers only Apple, link Apple in the Lupora app under Settings → Sign-in methods first.
- A feedback report is refused. Remove any email address or credential from it, or wait if you have reached the hourly or daily limit.
Example prompts
- "What's on my Lupora schedule this week, and how did last week go?"
- "How has my training volume changed over the last 30 days? Which exercises have I trained most?"
- "I can only train three days next week. Propose an adjusted plan in Lupora."
- "Find a row variation I can do with dumbbells and explain the form cues."
